Dear Parents,
As you may know, Chelsea King, a senior at Poway High School, has been reported missing as of yesterday, February 25, 2010.
Authorities have stated that Chelsea, a long distance runner, went for a run at the Rancho Bernardo Community Park after school. Her locked car was found in the parking lot. Multiple agencies, including the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department Search and Rescue Team and San Diego Police Department, are coordinating efforts with the use of K-9s, mounted police, helicopters, and ATVs to locate Chelsea.
We are sending this information to all PUSD staff and parents at the request of Chelsea’s family in hopes that someone may have information related to this incident.
The Poway Sheriff’s Department has asked that any information related to Chelsea that could assist officials in their search be passed along to the Sheriff’s Communication Center at (858) 565-5200.
We appreciate your keeping Chelsea and her family in your thoughts.
Sincerely,
Don Phillips, Superintendent
